The Laboratory of Telecommunications and Smart Systems is a research unit affiliated with the University of Djelfa, created under ministerial decree number 206/22023 dated May 3, 2023. The laboratory’s activities are led by a team of around 48 people (including 16 permanent staff) who are dedicated to both research and training. The LTTS is mainly interested in fundamental areas of activity in the field of telecommunications and advanced technologies, bringing together four teams, that carry out research in various fields, including multimedia signal processing, transmission networks and communication systems. modern wireless communications, application of artificial intelligence tools in telecommunications, the development of secure and intelligent connected platforms based on embedded systems and on the Internet of Things (IoT), as well as the design and characterization of antennas and RF devices and radio frequency subsystems intended for telecommunications systems. The Telecommunications Laboratory’s missions are: – Active participation in the development of scientific research in the field of telecommunications; – The realization and expertise of national and international research projects in the field of telecommunications; – The dissemination and promotion of research results through the organization of conferences, seminars, scientific publications, etc. ; – Contribution to the acquisition, mastery and development of new scientific and technological knowledge in the field of telecommunications; – The development of national and international research collaborations; – Contribution to the establishment of thematic research networks; – The development of collaborations and partnerships with the socio-economic sector, in this case with manufacturers and third-party telecommunications operators, institutions deploying telecommunications infrastructures, etc. – The laboratory is heavily involved in the teaching of the “Telecommunications” license training, the “Telecommunications Systems and Networks and Telecommunications” Master courses and the “Telecommunications, Electronics” third cycle training. |
